Bugatti – And We Ain’t Talking Cars

When you Google Bugatti, the first thing to come up is the sports car designs, details on their high performance and just how much they cost! Thankfully I am not in the market for a new sports car – I am more in need of a family car that fits a car seat and can hold a pram in the boot! But on this occasion I am looking at Bugatti footwear, as a few boxes have landed on the shop doorstep and I have to say I am impressed. Now we did stock a few dress styles previously but haven’t had them for a few seasons, so it is nice to have them back.

Their brand represents a “Perfect fit, high quality materials, first class workmanship, trendy colours, stylish collections and fair prices.” The company work towards designing sporty, elegant fashion. The styles we have range from classical-urban to fashion distinctive, so they will take you men from work to weekend wear easily. So here at McConnell Shoes we have 9 styles that will do just that.

• Larwood – Navy £90

This stylish navy, lightweight shoe from Bugatti is everything you could want to take you from day to weekend. The suede upper is as soft as butter whilst the lightweight sole unit means you are not clumping around in a heavy shoe. The contrast stitching adds extra detailing to the upper whilst the beige lace keep it dressy/casual. The insole in these is removable therefore allowing two width fittings – standard and comfort. Both insoles are contoured and feature a leather heel and mid section which allow extra breathability. Team these with your straight jeans or chinos for an off duty, yet on trend look. We love them.

• Trueman – Navy £90
Keeping with a similar style, Trueman is a full soft, navy leather version (if you are not a fan of suede that is). The slight wedged sole unit adds a lift to your posture which enhances the contoured arch support which is built into the foot bed. These are cushioned through the insole so provide you with comfort in every step, and teamed with the lightweight sole unit these make a great every day shoe.

• Verity – Cognac £90
If navy is not your thing then Verity is a nice rich tan dressy/casual shoe for you, featuring the same sole unit design as Trueman, these are the perfect accompaniment to your dressy jeans to take you away from trainers. The rich tan leather upper is offset by navy panelling around the heel and navy lacing. The insole is again cushioned and contoured, providing support where needed. This style is great to make you feel dressed up without having a really dressy, hard shoe on.

• Bedser – Cognac £80
Moving onto the slightly dressier styles, Bedser is up first. This gloriously rich tan shoe is what I know Bugatti for. The punched leather front teamed with a smooth heel cup and navy laced fastening adds subtle details without overpowering this style. An added bonus here is that they feature a shock absorber pocket in the heel unit, so with every strike the foot makes you are guaranteed cushioning through the heel and up the back of the calves. This would be a great shoe for your suits or a dressy occasion, without compromising on comfort.

• Anderson – Cognac £90
Up next we have Anderson. This style features the richest cognac leather finished upper, so will make the perfect dressy shoe. Again, a lightweight sole unit makes them great for all day wear. These have a double insole just like Larwood, so if you need an extra bit of width or like shoes roomier then simply whip out the top insole and off you go as you won’t lose any of the support as both are contoured. Bugatti are real fans of teaming their tan leathers with navy detailing so Anderson comes complete with navy laces and navy heel cup trim. These feature a slightly tapered toe but thankfully don’t compromise on the width so don’t be put off if you have a broader foot.

• Underwood – Black £80
If you are looking for a black shoe for work or for a suit then Underwood is the only black Bugatti we are stocking at the minute. This high quality leather dress shoe features a subtle snakelike textured front and heel cup with a smooth leather lace panel. An insole with built in arch support hides inside whilst a shock absorbing heel gives you added comfort with every step.

• Broad – Grey £75
I’m throwing a complete curveball in, but check out Broad. This style has just landed at our backdoor and we love it already. Casual, yet the fine details keep it from looking clumpy. This is an ath-leisure style and the best part is that these have elastic laces so you just simply pull them on. The sturdy mesh like upper is super flexible and the sole unit offers great grip. The soft grey finish will team perfectly with your S/S wardrobe.

• Boycott – Navy £75
Playing it slightly safer with Boycott, this is a style and shape we are all used to. Trainer like in appearance, these are great with your jeans (or dare I say shorts)! Navy suede is teamed with navy closed mesh and white and tan panels adorn the sides and upper to keep it looking soft. A lace up front allows for easy on and off whilst a contoured, cushioned foot bed offers real comfort. We love them.

• Willis –Navy £60
Keeping it casual, Willis is a great wee everyday style. With its chunky white on trend sole unit and brushed navy/grey upper, these would be a great addition to your wardrobe. A nice comfy foot bed teamed with a flexible sole unit, these would take you right through spring, summer and autumn easily. Featuring a rich navy lace fastening, these stay secure on the foot and offer great support. At £60 these are a bargain from Bugatti.

These Bugatti styles are proving popular already with guys picking them up for themselves and gals picking them up for their significant others. Make sure and don’t miss out as they won’t last long!
